How to choose the best IPTV subscription

There is no single best IPTV subscription, and any site that gives you a ranked top ten is usually ranking whoever pays them. What there is: seven things that decide whether a service is good for you, each of which you can check in a few minutes before you hand over money. This page lists them, tells you how to test each one, and answers them for our own service so you can hold us to the same standard.

Buyer's guide

The seven things that actually matter

  1. 1

How you pay, and whether it renews

A one-time payment for a fixed period cannot surprise you. A rolling subscription with your card on file can.

How to check it: Ask directly: does this renew automatically, and do you store my card? If the answer is vague, treat it as a yes.

  2. 2

    Simultaneous connections

The device count is how many screens can stream at once, not how many devices you may install the app on. Two people watching different things need two connections.

How to check it: Count the screens that might be in use at the same time on a Sunday evening, and buy for that.

  3. 3

Which player apps it works with

A service that supports Xtream Codes or M3U works with every major player. One that only works inside its own locked app leaves you stuck if that app disappears.

How to check it: Ask whether you get Xtream Codes credentials or an M3U URL. You want one of those.

  4. 4

Whether you can try before paying

A provider confident in their streams will let you test them. One that will not is telling you something.

How to check it: Ask for a trial. Also ask what taking a trial does to your refund rights, because for many providers it voids them.

  5. 5

    The refund terms, in writing

Not whether a refund exists, but exactly when it applies, for how long, and at what percentage.

How to check it: Find the refund policy page before paying. If there is only a vague promise in a chat message, there is no policy.

  6. 6

How you reach support, and when

Streams break at kick-off, not during office hours. What matters is the channel and the hours, not a promise of being the best.

How to check it: Message support before you buy and see how long the reply takes. That is your real answer.

  7. 7

    Stream quality versus your connection

4K is only meaningful if your connection can carry it and the source actually provides it. A provider claiming everything is 4K is overclaiming.

How to check it: Test on the device and network you will actually use, at the time of day you will actually watch.

Red flags worth walking away from

  • Subscriber counts, star ratings or testimonials with no source you can click through to.
  • Countdown timers and “only 3 left” counters on a digital product that cannot run out.
  • A channel count that differs between the provider's own pages or sister sites.
  • No named refund policy, terms or contact details anywhere on the site.
  • Claims of being “official” for a player app the provider does not own.

Six questions to ask any provider before you pay

  1. 1.Does this renew automatically, and will you store my card?
  2. 2.How many connections can stream at the same time?
  3. 3.Do I get Xtream Codes credentials or an M3U URL?
  4. 4.Can I have a trial, and does taking one affect my refund rights?
  5. 5.What exactly is your refund window and percentage?
  6. 6.What hours is support available, and on which channel?

Our answers to those questions

The same checklist, applied to us. Every figure here comes from the same place the rest of the site reads from, so it cannot say one thing here and another on the pricing page.

Why there is no top ten list on this page

We sell an IPTV subscription, so a ranking written by us would put us first — which tells you nothing. Publishing invented ratings for competitors would also be dishonest, and search engines are increasingly good at spotting it. A checklist you can apply to us and to anyone else is more useful, and it survives you checking it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best IPTV subscription?

The one that matches the number of screens you need, works with the player app on your devices, has refund terms written down, and answers you when something breaks. Those four things decide it far more often than channel counts do.

How much should an IPTV subscription cost?

Enough to be sustainable. Our own single-device plans run from €15 for a month to €79 for a year. Prices far below the market usually mean the service will not be there in six months.

Is a longer plan always better value?

Per month, yes — our 12-month single-device plan works out around 56% cheaper than paying monthly. But only commit long once you have tested the service on your own connection.

Does a higher channel count mean a better service?

Rarely. Past a few thousand channels you will never watch most of them, and a padded count says nothing about whether the twenty you care about are stable. Test those twenty.
